Mercury in Taurus

Mercury, how you think and talk, sits in Taurus — a fixed earth sign, meaning it holds a position and works through the physical. You tend to think slowly on purpose: testing an idea by weight, touch, use. Once something is understood, it stays. Rushing you rarely speeds you up.

With other people

Taurus answers to Venus, the planet whose character this fixed earth sign takes on, so your Mercury speaks in a Venus accent: steady tone, few words, warmth through consistency rather than declaration. People relax around that. Friction shows up when someone wants a quick verbal reversal and you need days to actually move your mind.

The growth edge

Mercury in Taurus gives your thinking staying power, and the same weight can keep a conclusion in place after it has stopped fitting. When a view of yours settles, is that because you tested it, or because reopening it would cost you comfort? You can keep the depth and still hold one belief a little more loosely.
