Zodiac sign dates
Most tables give each sign fixed dates, such as Aries from March 21 to April 19. The Sun doesn't keep to them. It enters each sign at a different moment every year, about six hours later each year until a leap day pulls it back, and the calendar date also depends on the time zone. Between 1925 and 2030, somewhere between Hawaii and New Zealand, it changed sign on the 40 dates below.

Every date here comes from the Sun's computed ingresses, which agree with Swiss Ephemeris outputs and with the U.S. Naval Observatory's equinoxes and solstices within a minute for every year from 1920 to 2035. Astrology is a symbolic language, not a science; this page is about the calendar.
