Mercury in Sagittarius

Mercury in Sagittarius puts your thinking in a mutable fire sign — adaptable, enthusiastic — ruled by Jupiter, whose character it takes on, and in detriment, meaning Mercury sits opposite a sign it governs, so detail work costs you effort. You think in arcs: the meaning first, the supporting facts later. Big frames come fast. Footnotes come slowly, if you go back for them.

With other people

With Mercury in Sagittarius, candor is how you show affection — you say the honest thing and trust people to handle it. That openness draws others in. The friction comes when your broad, fast summary flattens someone's specific experience, or when a joke lands harder than you meant. Warmth is rarely the issue; aim is.

The growth edge

Mercury in Sagittarius reaches for scope under Jupiter, Sagittarius's ruler, and detriment means the fine grain doesn't come free. So the question is where precision actually matters to you. Which claims will you slow down and verify, and which conversations are better served by the wide view? You can choose case by case rather than defending every sweeping statement.
