Mercury in Aries

Mercury in Aries puts your thinking in a cardinal fire sign, initiating, driven, ruled by Mars, taking on his character: quick to start, quick to name the thing. You often know your position before you can explain it. Mercury holds no special dignity — no built-in edge, not its own sign, not one that supports it — so the speed is raw material, sharpened by use rather than given.

With other people

With people, Mercury in Aries tends to sound direct — you say the blunt thing early, which many read as honesty and some read as a challenge. Mars, this sign's traditional ruler, the planet whose character it takes on, likes a little heat in conversation. Closeness often grows through friendly friction: you feel nearest to those who argue back and stay.

The growth edge

The pull of Mercury in Aries is toward the fast answer. Worth asking: when does your first take deserve trust, and when is it just the first thing that fired? You can keep the speed and add a beat before speaking — not to soften what you think, but to find out whether you still think it.
