Lilith in Cancer

Lilith, the far point of the Moon's orbit, in Cancer — a cardinal water sign, initiating and feeling-led, whose character it takes from the Moon — tends to put your independence where most people put their need for care. You may have learned early to mother yourself rather than ask. That self-sufficiency is real, and so is the cost: help gets refused before it's offered.

With other people

With others, Lilith — the far point of the Moon's orbit — in Cancer often shows up as fierce closeness paired with a hidden exit. You give shelter generously, then notice when your own hunger for it goes unmet, and withdraw rather than name it. Friction gathers around who is allowed to need whom, and how openly.

The growth edge

The Moon rules Cancer, lending the sign its character, and Lilith — the far point of the Moon's orbit — here keeps asking a quiet question: can you be nourished without losing your edge? You might test whether receiving care still leaves you free. Try letting one person feed you something you could have made yourself, and watch what the discomfort is actually about.
